Ross Noble Fans
Have you seen Ross Noble Perform? Have you ever met him before anywhere, either after a gig or a recording? Email me today and i can place it up here.
I met Ross Noble last year after his Noodlemeister gig in Basingstoke. Here is my story and picture:
Back in June 2004, I went along to see Ross Noble on his sell out tour of "Noodlemeister" with a friend from work. We had front row seats. Ross came on the stage a few minutes late and he went into one saying about how "Skidding donkeys" were all over Basingstoke delayed him getting to the gig. The stage behind him was beautiful done up with lots of sponge and platic noodles coming out of the walls like it is in the posters that you see. At one point during the show, one of them fell on the light and started to smoke and someone jumped up and shouted "ITS ON FIRE". Ross turned round and saw and went over. He then said we should leave it and see if it does catch fire. We all sat there and it started to smoke more so he quickly grabbed hold of it and got it away from the light. Someone backstage ended up turning the light off.
After the show was done, we nipped round the back where there was 2 other people waitting to meet Ross. He came out after about 15 minutes in his parka and really cool t-shirt that i've seen him in before. He signed some autographs and chatted to us lot. I touched his brown flowery shirts which he warned me that they were very sweaty (yes he does sweat a bit on stage, but not like Lee Evans style though). He sat on the wall and we chatted to him about how he got into stand up and he talked to us about the time he told a very bad joke in Ireland about the Irish. When he first told the joke, he told his ex-girlfriend who was Irish anyway, and she found it funny. He took that on board and so went ahead that eveniong and told it. Unfortunatly they didn't laugh and told him to "F*** OFF"from the place he was staying and also out of the village he performed in. Since then he has avoided jokes about the Irish. After he told us this, he signed my "Bootleg part 2" cd which i have to say is extremely brilliant. I also got my photo with him to as you can see below here.
It was an enjoyable night and i can't wait to hopefully see him on the next tour.
